Venturing into the Georgian Period

For some reason the Georgians, in my mind, lived in a perpetual summer – they promenaded under parasols, ate strawberries and had picnics à la Emma all year round, all while wearing floaty, pastel-coloured dresses. And they had elaborate wigs that must surely have been impractical in the rain.
So I thought this drawing would be a good post for today, which is another lovely sunny one – a perfect day to sit outside with a Jane Austen. The only problem is which one to choose…

Bread & Jam

Bread & Jam

So yes, I am addicted to tea. Aside from drinking it, now I’ve started I can’t stop painting with it. I love it! I’ve done a couple of larger (A3) paintings in this sort of style already, so I’ll see if I can get a decent photo of them to upload. In the meantime, I’m working on some more and mulling over some other tea-related ideas, and of course drinking plenty of the stuff in the process!
