Reading – Sept 2016
Walking – Oct 2016
Gardening – Oct 2016
Creating – March 2017
You can now buy these four images as greetings cards on my brand new Etsy shop here. Each one represents an activity that can prove beneficial to mental health: reading, walking, gardening & creating. Once the cost of the cards has been covered, every single penny from all 4 designs will go to Rethink Mental Illness (www.rethink.org)
The work Rethink does is so important & they have helped me a lot personally too so it would be brilliant if we could raise something to give back to them – & remember there are free badges for the next 8 customers, so you’ll have that to go along with your warm fuzzy feeling at having done a good deed if you do buy one of these cards!
The Goozeberry Jar Etsy shop is now open! You can have a look at it here. And as a little thank you for supporting a brand new seller, the first 10 customers will get a free badge of their choice (of their choosing?) with their first order. Just type the name of the badge design you would like in the ‘Add note to seller’ box at checkout & I’ll add the badge to your parcel! Full details in the Shop Announcement. I’d love to hear what you think of the shop, so please do offer your honest feedback if you take the time to have a look round :)
There will be a little extra for the first TEN customers, so check back on here later if you like freebies for more info on that!
The final image in my series focusing on activities that can be beneficial for mental health, based on my own experiences. This one took a little longer than I wanted, as ‘creativity’ is such a broad spectrum I was at first a bit too spoilt for choice with what to include – at one stage I tried to cram in someone sculpting, sewing, painting AND printing. Even by my standards, that proved to be too busy a drawing for me! After taking a breather from it I decided focusing on the main thing I do, painting (though I don’t paint canvases), would be the best idea. You can see the other three in the series below:
All four will be available as cards very soon, with the money going to a mental health charity, so keep an eye out for that if you are interested.
A little self-portrait I did for today’s March Meet the Maker on Instagram: Work Clothes. Come and say hello!
Happy International Women’s Day! I’m so proud to be a woman & know that women are going to be instrumental in bringing lasting & much-needed change in our world. We are powerful & it’s only a matter of time 💪
I chose purple as it’s the theme colour of IWD, but they should have been wearing red to support all of the incredible women striking around the world today for #Daywithoutwomen
Happy March! Every day this month I will be taking part in ‘March Meet the Maker’ on Instagram, posting pictures and writing a few bits in response to the day’s prompt. If you’d like to find out more about me & what I do then you can follow me on Instagram here.
Remember you can still read the posts if you don’t have an account, but if you do then say hi! I’d love to hear from you & see your daily posts if you are taking part as well.
